Stay in touch with what is happening in the local housing market

For all the tribulations facing the 2023 housing market, buyers are still looking to buy. This is the information coming from trusted property portals, and it is what we have seen for ourselves at Anthony Jones.

We welcome a lot of new clients each week, asking about property availability in Wynyard, and surrounding areas. We don’t blame them, we think Wynyard is an excellent place to live, as well as being well-connected to other towns, and the wider area. Anyone looking for a great base, no matter how far they travel for work or fun, Wynard is worth considering.

What homes are in demand across the North East of England?

According to Zoopla, the most in-demand property type in the North East of England is a three-bedroom terraced home, and then a two-bedroom terraced property. The third most in-demand property type in the North East of England is a two-bedroom semi-detached home.

Given the high demand for these properties, it is no surprise to learn that Zoopla don’t have many terraced properties available on the market. On the day we checked, they listed two terraced homes in Wynyard, both in the TS22 postcode area. Both of the properties are two-bedroom properties, one with an asking price of £148,000, with the other holding an asking price of £155,000.

A lot of three-bedroom semi-detached homes available in the local area

With respect to semi-detached properties, there is a greater selection on offer, with the property portal listing 10 terraced homes on offer. Every single property was a three-bedroom semi-detached home, and every home was located in the TS22 postcode area. The most affordable asking price for this selection of properties was £190,000; and the most expensive asking price was £255,000.

So, while there isn’t much diversity with respect to the number of bedrooms available for semi-detached homes in Wynard, there is some flexibility on pricing. This is positive news for buyers and vendors alike.

Tony Dobbins of Anthony Jones Properties said; “While there is no denying 2023 poses many challenges to homebuyers and vendors, spring looks to be an active time in the market. Historically, this is the case, and it is positive to see signs that the market is faring well in the early days of spring this year. We’ve experienced notable demand from willing buyers in and around Wynyard, so if you are thinking about selling your home, we’ll help you connect with buyers with a minimum of fuss and effort.”

As local agents serving Wynyard and other locations in the North East of England, we stay in touch with what is happening on your doorstep. No matter what your next move is likely to be in the housing market, we are here to assist you, every step of the way.
